How did you hear about the Institute of Sustainability Studies
I came across the Institute of Sustainability Studies, and it caught my eye because I noticed it had a very practical approach and was something I could take into the workplace.
What has been the impact of completing the Diploma in Business Sustainability course?
Completing the course has enabled me to put together a strategy and helped me to understand what kinds of support we need within the organisation. This encouraged us to look into placements to get some passionate individuals to help us with the workload.Â
The course also helped me explain to the organisation why we have to embrace sustainability, the importance of it and indeed, the urgency to take action. In essence, the course helped to kickstart sustainability education and learning across the organisation.
What did you enjoy about the course?
The course was completely online, which meant I could easily fit it around company work. It being self-paced meant I didn’t have to worry about missing sessions or catching up if I missed any work. Through the ISS Connect Platform, there was also a unique opportunity to connect with others taking the course and gain an understanding of their organisations and sustainability challenges. All of this made the course very valuable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend the course to anyone interested!
