Module Overview
Module 10 focuses on the concept of sustainable supply chain management, aimed at minimising environmental and social impacts while enhancing long-term value. It covers the comprehensive process of managing the flow of goods, services, and information with a keen eye on sustainability across environmental, social, and economic dimensions. This includes addressing greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, waste generation, labour rights, working conditions, cost, and profitability.

Dr. Paul Davis has over 30 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, focusing recently on sustainable practices. He lectures at DCU, serves on various boards, and collaborates with business alliances to enhance supply chain sustainability. Active in research on sustainable and strategic procurement, Paul also mentors SMEs on sustainability strategies, combining his industry experience and research knowledge to help develop resilient supply chains.
You will explore a variety of tools and strategies for fostering sustainable supply chains, such as conducting supplier audits, performing life cycle assessments, and engaging in sustainability reporting, equipping them with practical approaches to integrate sustainability into every link of the supply chain.

Laura founded the sustainability consultancy 'Remarkable Impact' in 2020 and chairs a sustainability charity. With over 20 years of experience, including at Jaguar Land Rover and The Co-op Group, she helps businesses attain B Corp certification through her B Corp Academy programme. An alumnus of Cambridge’s sustainability leadership programme, Laura is also recognised as a change agent and judges the UK Global Good Awards.
You will understand how to achieve economic, social, and environmental sustainability, use strategic frameworks for sustainable practices, engage in sustainability reporting, and consider stakeholder interests.
