“The course distilled a lot of information about the CSRD in one handy place”
Amber Harrison
Senior Consultant at Grain Sustainability
Certificate in CSRD Graduate
Can you tell me about your professional background?
I’ve been working in sustainability for around 20 years. After leaving a corporate job, I set up an independent nature writing bookshop, which I still run today. Alongside that, I now work in sustainability with a small boutique consultancy, collaborating with clients across various sectors.
Why did you decide to do a course like this?
With the CSRD coming into force and while I’ve done a lot of corporate reporting and GRI reports, I wanted to ensure that I was up to date with the standards. This is why I decided to do the course – to solidify my knowledge and ensure I knew the latest information.
How did you find navigating the course?
I had done some research on double materiality before and I do love a framework, so the course felt very comfortable to me. In saying that, it was still accessible, especially for those who do not have a basic understanding of corporate reporting. It was good that I could pace my studies given the online, flexible format of the course. Having the different sections within the course was also good as I could hone in on certain areas when I needed. I liked how the platform tracked my progress too. The links to additional resources were high quality, and the information within the course encouraged me to move on to the next parts.
What was the impact of doing the course on your role?
The resources and tools shared in the course have been really helpful since my role involves a lot of corporate reporting. The course distilled a lot of information that is already out there on the CSRD into one handy place.
Would you recommend the course to other like-minded professionals?
Definitely! I already have recommended it to a few in the B Corp network and some clients as well.Â
