Tell me about your professional background
I’m a Business Consultant. I consult with lots of different businesses and help them with their brand and retail strategies. I’ve worked with the likes of Kilkenny Design and some small and medium-sized businesses as well as global suppliers who work with H&M, Zara, and Stradivarius.
Can you tell me about your learning experience on the course?Â
The Diploma definitely enhanced my profile and opened up a lot of new things including networks and different focus areas for business. I picked up a new client at the end of last year and have secured a lot of work with them and I think the deciding factor to choose me was that I had the qualification in business sustainability. It’s given me a great sense of confidence across all sustainability-related topics.Â
Why did you decide to do a business sustainability course?
It’s a very relevant topic in the industry I’m working in which is retail but specifically, apparel. I’ve always known this so the topic has been at the front of my mind so it seemed only right to obtain a qualification in business sustainability.
What topics have you found the most helpful?Â
The topics that I found the most helpful were Sustainability Plan Implementation, Sustainable Finance, and ESG Reporting. I felt the delivery was fantastic and these modules really broadened my knowledge. Sustainable Finance was particularly interesting to me and Seán delivered it perfectly. After finishing his section, I knew enough to get myself through the exam. He was the one lecturer who consistently referred back to potential exam questions too.
