Module Overview

Module 1 of the Diploma in Business Sustainability introduces you to the basics of integrating sustainability in business. It delves into the concept of balancing economic performance with social equity and environmental care, highlighting the importance of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Global Compact.

Laura founded the sustainability consultancy 'Remarkable Impact' in 2020 and chairs a sustainability charity. With over 20 years of experience, including at Jaguar Land Rover and The Co-op Group, she helps businesses attain B Corp certification through her B Corp Academy programme. An alumnus of Cambridge’s sustainability leadership programme, Laura is also recognised as a change agent and judges the UK Global Good Awards.

You will understand how to achieve economic, social, and environmental sustainability, use strategic frameworks for sustainable practices, engage in sustainability reporting, and consider stakeholder interests.

This module lays the groundwork for adopting a sustainability paradigm that ensures long-term value creation through responsible and conscious business operations.

This reflects the duration of Continuous Professional Development learning and the corresponding hours that can be recorded in your CPD Portfolio. These hours contribute towards achieving your qualification.
